Ballet

Originated in the Italian Renaissance courts of the 15th century, ballet is a dance style which is world renowned up to this day.  It is considered as one of the fundamental dance styles which shaped other dance genres. Ballet is a difficult dance to master and requires years of training to before you can call yourself a ballet pro. Ballet may also refer to a ballet dance work, which consists of choreography and music specifically designed for a ballet production. perfect example is The Nutcracker, a two-act ballet originally choreographed by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov.  The music score was by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Ballet dance works are only performed by professional ballet dancers. Most classical ballet works are performed with classical music as the accompaniment
